An Unforgettable City
Kyoto is such an incredible city with so much history around every corner. It feels so peaceful even with all the people. Walking through the Gion district at night was magical. Just a beautiful place to explore on foot.
Stunning Gardens and Temples
The temples here are just stunning, and the gardens are so well kept. It's a different world. The Arashiyama Bamboo Grove felt otherworldly, especially early in the morning before the crowds arrived. So serene.
A True Taste of Old Japan
Kyoto really makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The blend of old temples and modern life is fascinating. We loved wandering through Nishiki Market, trying all the different foods like the amazing yuba skewers.
Perfect for Exploring on Foot
Such a walkable city. We spent hours just wandering and found so many cool little shops and cafes. The hike up through the torii gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine was a real highlight. A great workout with amazing views from the top.
Beautiful Sights and Crafts
Loved the focus on traditional crafts here. So many beautiful pottery and fabric shops everywhere. Seeing Kinkaku-ji in person was breathtaking, it looks just like a painting. Found some great unique gifts to bring home.
Amazing Food Scene
The food scene is fantastic. Had some of the best ramen I've ever tasted. Exploring Pontocho Alley at night was a great experience, with all the lanterns and small restaurants. It's a superb city for food lovers.
